Why Am I Here?

Ever wonder what you're actually supposed to do with your life?

Maybe you've already got everything planned out. Or maybe you have absolutely no idea. And that's okay.

But here's something I want you to think about.

What if your purpose is bigger than getting good grades, making money, or becoming popular?

What if God created you for something more?

Let's check it out.

Today's Reading

Ephesians 2

Read the entire chapter.

If you have a physical Bible, I recommend using it. It's easier to focus without notifications and other distractions. If you don't have one nearby, no worries. Use the link below.

Read Ephesians 2 (NLT) →

As you're reading, pay attention to what Paul says about grace, good works, and how Jesus brings people together.

Let's Talk About It

All right, so you just read Ephesians 2.

Paul starts by talking about sin and how people were living apart from God. Sounds pretty heavy, right?

But then he introduces something pretty incredible. Grace.

Now, if you're wondering what grace means, think of it like this.

Have you ever received something good that you didn't earn? That's the idea.

Paul explains that salvation, which means being rescued from sin and restored to a relationship with God, is a gift. It's not something we earn by being good enough.

And that brings us to Ephesians 2:10.

Paul describes people who belong to Jesus as God's workmanship, created for good works.

Basically, God's grace doesn't just change our relationship with Him. It changes how we live.

But notice the order.

We don't do good things to earn salvation. We do good things because of what God has done for us.

Now, toward the end of the chapter, Paul starts talking about Jews and Gentiles.

If you're wondering what a Gentile is, it's basically someone who isn't Jewish.

Back then, there were some pretty significant religious and cultural divisions between these groups.

But Paul explains that through Jesus, people who were once separated can be brought together.

In other words, God's plan wasn't just about individuals. It was about bringing people together, too.

So here's something worth thinking about.

What if your purpose isn't just about what you accomplish?

What if it's also about who you're becoming and how you treat other people?

Think About It

How much of your worth do you base on your grades, popularity, appearance, or accomplishments?

And what might change if you stopped measuring yourself by those things?

You don't need to figure out your entire future today. Just think about it.

Today's Challenge

All right, here's your challenge.

Do one good thing for somebody today without expecting anything in return.

Help someone. Encourage a friend. Include someone who's usually left out.

And here's the catch. Don't do it for attention.

No posting about it. No fishing for compliments.

Just do something good because it's good.

And if you're willing, try praying:

God, I'm still figuring out what my life is supposed to look like. But if You created me for a purpose, help me understand that. Show me how I can make a difference in somebody else's life.

Before You Go

Three days down!

You don't need to figure out your entire future right now.

But here's something worth remembering.

Your purpose isn't necessarily about becoming somebody important. Maybe it's about becoming somebody who makes a difference.

Keep reading. Keep asking questions.

And remember, don't just take my word for it.

Find out what the Bible actually says.
